This project was created to inspire teachers to use technology in engaging ways to help students develop higher level thinking skills. Equally important, it serves to motivate district level leaders to provide teachers with the tools and training to do so.

Wow, this is so powerful! It certainly sends a wake-up call to all educators who are willing to listen!

interesting. they want to use PCs or digital technology at all to learn. that would mean they will probably sit in front of computers a lot of time. the think is 50% of the kids shown are a bit to fat. they would get even bigger and the others would probably get fat aswell.

Hey, guess what when I asked my teacher how they found "e"? She told me to not ask stupid questions and do my homework! Later on I borrowed a book and found that piece of info out myself, and I didn't think it was a stupid question, nor was it too difficult to answer. And from then on I started reading books. It really made me realize how much knowledge I've been taking for granted.Schools are like this now, but I'm not gonna let it stunt my growth as a genuine student.

This is a noble viewpoint, but as long as our standardized testing is done by 20th century means (paper test w/o calculator or computer & no researching tools) we will not be teaching students to think, analyze, create, collaborate, and take charge of their futures. No Child Left Behind is NOT the way to educate or assure students are prepared for the future.
