@Richard133t instead of black playing D6, black's best move is Ng6:white cannot move his light bishop: Ba4 means black can play b5 forking the bishop and knight.white cannot move his knight: after black moved his knight, white cannot play Nd6 (unless he wants to do black a favor!) since black can capture it with his dark bishop developing it and setting for a castle.white's Ne5 puts it under the mercy of black's knight which is now on g6.and finally black's Ng6 means white cannot play Bf4.

At 3.00 go on the counter attack and move bishop to F4 then if he decides to take your bishop you can move your horse to c6 which would force the king to move up to e7 then you can trap the rook by moving the horse to f7 as the queen would be at risk of being taken. Any counter counter attacks?

How does an engine evaluate the position after the nc4 line where bishop takes on b5? White would get two pawns for the piece, plus quicker development , and black has some serious structural weaknesses. Im not saying its good for white but it looks =+ to me

@jrobichess I play chess against my friend Pierre all the time. Now, I consider myself a chess noob compared to him as he always slaughters me. He even once played by memory and blindfolded himself, and he still destroyed me. Nevertheless, I have fun and we do occasionally have very close matches. With these tactics, I hope to finally beat him at his own game. Thanks.

yes d4 is always better than d3 but i kno what ur saying "IF they do play d3 you can trap them" but i wouldnt advise anyone to solely rely on this trap as its rare for white to play d3 instead of d4 after nf6 (which is the well known Berlin Defense)
